Our Soup Kitchen is still serving nutritious lunches seven days a week!

The +ECoS Soup Kitchen serves lunch Mon - Sat, 11:30am - 12:30pm and Sunday 12:30pm - 1:30pm

The Episcopal Church of the Saviour Soup Kitchen in Hanford, California, has been serving the community for over 38 years, providing nutritious meals to those in need. This ministry began in 1986 to address the lack of food services for the hungry in the area. It operates with the help of volunteers and generous donations from local farmers, supermarkets, businesses, and organizations. Meals are served Monday through Saturday from 11:30am - 12:30am, with lunch on Sundays served from 12:30pm - 1:30pm, reaching an average of 175 meals per day.

The Soup Kitchen relies on support from the community, including funding from FEMA's Emergency Food and Shelter Program EFSP, administered by Kings County United Way, along with contributions from various other sources. Volunteers are crucial, with over 60 individuals contributing weekly to ensure the kitchen's operation.

If you wish to help, food donations, especially canned items like tomato products, green beans, corn, and black olives, are welcome. Financial support is also critical to maintaining the quality and reach of this program. For more information on how to assist, please contact the Soup Kitchen directly.
